Undisciplined Hunters finally to get what they deserve!

May 8, 2011
This is really something well worth posting. Hunting in Malta has always been a topic of friction to me. It is no longer something essential but a mere hobby for those who practice it. It is only quite obviously very much unsustainable - the Maltese hunters cannot go on destroying every single winged animal that comes in their sights just for the basic thrill of it all.

The new law, as long as it is properly administered should go a long way to address the situation..

Traffic Connundrums

April 12, 2011

Traffic jams can be quite temperamental things can't they? They ebb and flow, creep along and get stuck for minutes, hours on end and then disappear. Whoever invented the traffic jam had a very bad sense of humour and, I am sure there are many around who agree with me, should be resurrected and tried in court for disservices to the general public at large.

Apart from being annoying and can wreck chaos with one's timetable, they can also posses some unusual qualities. See the scenarios played...

What are they waiting for?

March 16, 2011

February 17th 2011 saw the Libyan people finally breaking out of their silence which has been imposed on them for almost half a century by the Gaddafi Regime. Protests which begun in Tobruk soon spread throughout east Libya with Benghazi becoming the mainstay of the rebellion.

The rebellion was moving fast... flowing towards the west ant Tripoli in a relentless pace that was fueled, if not by organisation and expertise, at least by pure courage and passion. Senior officials in the diplomatic ...

A Year Ago Today!

Day 5 to Uhuru Peak 5895mt

Leaving Mechame Hut and the lushous Rain Forrest terrain behind us, our guides led us up into the wide expanse of heather and moorland with many vistas dominated by vegetation that is indigenous to Mt Kilimanjaro. The weather was gorgeaous, clear sunny and quite mild - when we started out that is! As the morning wore on it became hot and very much like summer! The sun strong and beating down on us from above with just a wisp of a cloud in the clear b...

A quick post

January 25, 2011
Haven't done much in the way of photography lately, neither have I thought about this webpage much!

Seems like 2011 is turning out to be quite a disorganised year so far! My living and working space is proof of this but I won't, as yet, provide any visual document testifying the fact... just take my word for it!

One question I have is: How the heck does one keep the dust at bay short of spending 50% of one's time dusting the place down! I have always known that Malta is a dusty country - the dr...

Data Safety

November 11, 2010
You would never really think it would happen to you. A new external drive, running smoothly and completely free of any viruses. Hey, makes you feel very safe doesn't it!

Right?

Wrong!

Can't imagine what caused the error, but a drive I had transferred all my images onto - and which was dedicated to images alone and nothing else just died on me! well, died isn't quite the correct term as the data is there... windows sees it as there but when I access the drive all I can see is one system file.

Was ...

Website Update

November 4, 2010
Playing around and constantly changing. I never seem happy with the layout of this site.

However, I seem to be getting my thoughts all in one stream and slowly getting the whole thing to look more or less decent!

Cheers

The greatest festival on Earth

June 13, 2010
Yep.... The 2010 Fifa World Cup South Africa has finally got under way! All the anticipation, all the excitement and all the nerves...  a 'bit' of wild speculation too is now over! Well, not really over as throughout the tournament all those emotions continue to compete with each other and with the joy, frustration, sadness, anger, incredulity and what-have-you while watching the matches or in preparation of the next match.

Yep... we humans are crazy! Well.... lets not be too general about tha...
